Medication can be helpful for many people!
And there is nothing inherently wrong with using medication to treat anxiety.
However, it is my intention to provide alternative pathways for healing anxiety for those who do not wish to take medication, who cannot take medication, or who find that medication helps to minimize symptoms, but does not address the anxiety at the root.

If you’re lucky enough to find a great and patient therapist (they ARE out there!), approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy often requires years of drudging up old, painful memories, often reliving them, in order to retrain our beliefs around these memories.
This form of therapy works exclusively at the conscious-mind level, which is almost always a set up for failure because it is actually the subconscious that runs the show! In this way, therapy is like trying to swim against a strong current to get upstream. You can do it....but it is not the most efficient or effective way.
Additionally, traditonal therapy is often painful and promotes focusing on what we don’t want, rather than what we want to create for ourselves.
